Handle supported finish carpentry and wood details that make a room feel complete and intentional.

Custom lumber and wood-repair projects

Build or repair supported wood components where a tailored carpentry solution is a better fit than an off-the-shelf product.

Common carpentry & build-out needs

Carpentry, Framing & Basement Problems We Can Help Solve

Customers often reach out because a space is underused, storage does not fit, a room needs to be divided or finished, or existing woodwork no longer works or looks right.

“We want to divide or build out part of an interior space.”

Interior framing and room build-outs are supported, with permit, code, egress and city requirements considered where applicable.

“Our basement has usable space, but it does not function like a finished room.”

A basement build-out can be planned around the intended use, framing needs and related drywall, flooring, paint and other supported finish work.

“Off-the-shelf shelving does not fit the space.”

Custom shelving and storage can be sized to the wall, room and actual items you need to store or display.

“The room needs built-ins or trim to feel complete.”

Built-ins, baseboards, trim and other supported finish carpentry can be coordinated after the main room layout is established.

“A door or wood component is damaged and needs a better repair.”

Supported wood repairs and door work can be evaluated as a defined carpentry project or folded into a larger remodel or room update.

“We know what the space should do, but not how to build it.”

Love That Fix can help translate the functional goal into a practical layout, material and finish plan while avoiding unnecessary overbuilding.

Plan function, space & finish together

How Custom Carpentry & Framing Projects Are Planned Around the Space

A successful custom project begins with what the space needs to do, then works backward into dimensions, framing, access, storage and finish details. That is especially important in basements and smaller rooms where every inch affects how the finished space feels and functions.

1 · Function

Define how the finished space or built-in needs to work

Start with the intended use: room division, storage, display, access, circulation or another practical need. That prevents the project from being driven by appearance alone.

2 · Fit

Measure the actual room, openings and fixed conditions

Walls, doors, ceilings, floors, utilities and existing finishes affect what can be built and how the work should be sequenced. Basement spaces may also involve egress, code or city requirements.

3 · Finish

Coordinate the framing or lumber work with drywall, flooring and finish details

Supported drywall, flooring, painting, trim and related services can be coordinated once the build-out plan is defined so the project does not stop at rough framing.

Show us the whole space, not just the corner where you want the work.

Estimates, materials & project terms

Carpentry, Framing & Build-Out Estimates and Project Policies

Pricing depends on dimensions, project complexity, framing or carpentry scope, material selections, finish requirements, site conditions and any regulated or specialty work that connects to the project.

Written estimate & clear scope

Love That Fix provides a written estimate or project summary whenever appropriate so framing, carpentry, built-in and finish work are clearly defined before work begins.

Framing may require permit / code review

Additional rooms and spaces are subject to applicable permit, code, egress and city requirements. Structural and permit-triggering work is performed only within applicable requirements and qualified trade scope.

No standard material markup

Customers pay actual material cost, and available contractor or supplier discounts are passed through whenever possible.

Complimentary selection guidance

Material, finish and design guidance may be provided where appropriate to help the customer balance function, appearance, durability and budget.

Additional work requires approval

If concealed conditions or requested changes alter the approved scope, Love That Fix communicates the issue before completing billable additional work whenever reasonably possible.

Large-scale structural engineering is excluded

Love That Fix does not perform large-scale structural engineering work. If a project requires specialized structural engineering or licensing beyond scope, an appropriately qualified professional should handle or be coordinated for that portion.

Workmanship warranty

Completed labor is generally covered from 30 days to 6 months depending on the service and the terms stated in the estimate or invoice. Manufacturer warranties remain the manufacturer’s responsibility.

Larger-project deposits

Larger projects generally require a 30% deposit to reserve scheduling unless the written estimate states otherwise.
